Nfomi is a Cameroonian feminist researcher and policy analyst working at the intersection of gender, media, and conflict. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health and LLM with a speciality in Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Africa. Her work critiques how African media often reinforce patriarchal norms in reporting femicide and GBV, despite regional commitments like the Maputo Protocol. Drawing on experience with feminist movements, survivors, and journalists, her research uplifts counter-narratives rooted in justice and healing. She advocates for ethical, gender-transformative storytelling in humanitarian settings, where media can shift public imagination and strengthen accountability beyond just documenting violence.
