Born in Cabo Verde, West Africa, writer, researcher, and professor at the University of International Integration of Afro- Brazilian Lusophony – UNILAB. PhD in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil and a master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cabo Verde. The general coordinator of the Africana studies center at UNILAB, 2023-2025, and a member of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). Research interests include Social Sciences, Afro-centric Philosophy, Education and Afrocentricity, Africana Womanism, and Reproductive Justice and Gender in West Africa. Awarded at the Gala Pan-African Humanitarian – Summit Awards in 2023 with the award for Excellence in Research and Social Impact.
