Mamaponya is the CEO of fraycollege, a feminist, pan-African development communications and journalism training organisation. She leads a dynamic team committed to enhancing the quality of communications across Africa while advancing gender equality. Under her leadership, fraycollege empowers media professionals, civil society organisations, and institutions to communicate more effectively and inclusively, shaping a more equitable media and development landscape on the continent. She has an MA in Documentary Film from the University College of London, a BA honours degree in Journalism from Wits University and a BSc degree in Geology also from Wits University.
