Dr. Amina Salihu, Deputy Director at the MacArthur Foundation Africa office, holds a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Abuja. Formerly a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University and adviser in Nigeria’s FCT. She is a feminist, farmer, and policy consultant to governments, UN, EU, and private sector. Her work shaped the Nigeria National Assembly gender policy (2014) and the Nigeria Sexual Offender Database. She has co-edited and authored influential texts on women, politics, and rights, with global citations. Amina has held governance roles, including on Boards and technical committees, and engaged with leading institutions worldwide.
