.I Melkamsew Solomon has a 15 years of exprience as a dedicated journalist and media practitioner. She is MA holder in Journalism and Communications, deeply committed to advancing gender issues in Ethiopia. As a participant in the Ethiopian National Dialogue representing the general Assembly Chair of Timran, an NGO advancing women’s political participatiowomen, Melkamsew amplifies women’s voices in critical discussions. Through the weekly radio show “Yemechish,” she addresses pressing gender topics, while actively collaborating with religious women’s peace groups to discuss ways of intervening in local peace building activities.

She also moderates different debates and discussions on current conflict related issues. .As a board member of EMWA a nd communication and leadership professional dedicated to strengthening voices in media, governance, and civic engagement..As founder and manager of Melkamsew Media Works, she train and coach young journalists to thrive in the digital era. With experience in capacity-building, public speaking, and program coordination, which focus on creating opportunities that empower youth and women to lead confidently. Her work promotes ethical storytelling and inclusive participation across communities in Ethiopia and beyond through innovative initiatives.
