Dr. Ayele Addis Ambelu is a journalist and Assistant Professor of Journalism and Communication at Bahir Dar University. With over a decade of experience in investigative reporting, media education, and production, he is known for advancing press freedom, climate change advocacy, and peace journalism in conflict zones. He currently news and program produces for Africa News Channel, and is a certified trainer in media safety, fact-checking, data journalism, and AI in newsrooms. Ayele has received multiple awards, including the “Dr. Femi Oyetunji Future Talent” award in South Africa, WHO AMR Award at Cameroon, the 7th Nile Media Award in Uganda, and the Festivov Investigative Journalism Award in Switzerland.
