Thuli Mthethwa is a Software Engineer-turned social Innovator/Entrepreneur and Gender-Based Violence Activist. She developed South Africa’s first Public Community Policing Alarm system for lower income areas supported by SAPS and CPF– now registered as an official innovation across Southern Africa.
She has become a renowned public speaker on innovation and ICT for solving social ills, Bridging the gap through ICT, GBV and Innovation, Women Empowerment, Triumphing over Challenges, turning personal challenges into solutions, and solving community-based problems through grassroots solutions and innovations.
Honoured with a Humanitarian Doctorate for her work advancing safety, justice, and equity, by the United Nations Foundation, together with the T.I.U.A School of Business at the CSW69 Conference.
