Ms. Prudence Ngwenya is the Director of the Women, Gender, and Youth Directorate at the AUC, where she provides strategic guidance on gender equality, women’s empowerment, and youth development. Her role includes cultivating strategic partnerships, fostering inclusive stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that programmes and initiatives are aligned with key continental frameworks, including the AU Agenda 2063. Under her leadership, the Directorate maintains a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven approach to policy and programme delivery, with a focus on impactful outcomes that advance social and economic equity for women and youth across Africa.
