Rebecca Mutiso is the manager, Accreditation and Compliance at the Media Council of Kenya. She holds a Master’s of Art in Digital Journalism from the Aga Khan Graduate School of Media and Communications and a degree in Political Science and Communication from the University of Nairobi. Rebecca is an Alumnus of the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa Executive Training programme on financial journalism, the Strathmore Business Journalism fellowship, and the World Association of News Publishers (Wan-Ifra) Women in News programme, a leadership training for senior women in the media. Before joining the Council, she worked for over 17 years in the media industry. She is a media researcher and trainer in areas of Artificial Intelligence, Solutions Journalism and Gender-Sensitive reporting.
